Our Goal

To raise funds for the research of SUDEP with all proceeds benefitting CURE.

To raise awareness that even with the best medical treatments, seizures cannot always be controlled. It is estimated that close to 2 of the 3 million Americans with epilepsy do not have complete seizure control, or only experience seizure control at the cost of debilitating side effects from medications.

Epilepsy is a devastating neurological disorder that affects over 3 million Americans, and 50 million people worldwide. Those numbers equal more than multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, and Parkinson’s disease combined. Epilepsy patients experience recurring, uncontrollable seizures that can be life-altering and life-threatening.

An estimated 50,000 deaths occur in the United States from seizure-related causes. This includes accidental deaths and SUDEP. Therefore, an urgent need to research a cure for epilepsy, specifically SUDEP, is evident.

CURE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness and funding for epilepsy research. It was founded by parents of children with epilepsy. Together they joined forces to find a cure.

Please join us by participating in the run, donating to the cause, or volunteering a few hours of your time! Your efforts will make a much needed difference in the lives of those affected by epilepsy.

SUDEP is the sudden, unexpected death of someone with epilepsy, but who was otherwise healthy, and for whom no other cause of death can be found.
CURE or Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy is a nonprofit organization dedicated to finding a cure for epilepsy by raising funds for research and by increasing awareness of the prevalence and devastation of this disease.
